The Derbyshire Music Education Hub is a collaboration between key local and regional music organisations, led by the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership, working together to create joined up, high quality music education in and out of school.

30-week instrumental programmes of whole class instrumental teaching to KS2 pupils (aimed at Year 4 classes). Supporting schools to deliver Core Role 1 of the National Plan for Music Education.

An annual competition for all instrumentalists and singers in year 12 or 13 offering a first prize of £400 - sponsored by the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir.

Regular musical activities in Derby and Derbyshire for all young musicians.

Every child in Derbyshire has the opportunity to learn to sing or play an instrument, supported by range of financial subsidies and instrument loans.

Applications to the Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra (DDSO) and to audition for the City & County Youth Orchestra (CCYO) and Wind Band (CCYWB) can be made at any time with auditions running at different times of the year.
