We're proud to present many events from the partners of the hub every academic year, featuring performances from thousands of musicians across all of Derbyshire
With a diverse range of groups and ensembles, these events show the hard work and talent of our young musicians and delivery partners across the city and county.
Crooked Spire Christmas Tree Festival
The Flute Choir and Clarinet Choir from Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire Music Centre will perform a festive set as part of the annual Crooked Spire Christmas Tree Festival.

Just Dance Showcase
Just Dance welcomes friends and family of Chesterfield Studios to this internal event showcasing their winter dance repertoire.
Rainbows Hospice Christmas Concert
This wonderful festive event, which has for years marked the beginning of the festive season, will feature the City of Derby Youth Band, Voices, and Senior Clarinets performing in a wonderful, carol-filled evening.
Taste of Christmas
A special seasonal event from South Derbyshire Music Centre designed to kick off the Christmas period.
The Iron Ladies - Film Screening
This film screening at Chesterfield Studios tells the untold story of the working-class women who became the backbone of the 1984–85 Miners' Strike, reshaping the landscape of political activism. (Certificate: 12A - moderate violence, infrequent strong language).
Festive Sing-a-long Session
This is a free session for Club and Junior members or Derby Music Centre, plus siblings and friends, featuring festive musical games and songs, and attendees are encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers.
The Snowman Tour: Derby
Make it a Christmas to remember with a special screening of family-favourite, The Snowman, accompanied by a live orchestra. Presented by Carrot Productions – the world's leading performers of The Snowman film with live orchestra – our award-winning show features some of the UK's finest professional musicians.

Wind and Big Band Christmas Concert
The Wind and Big Band ensembles from Peak District Music Centre will perform a festive concert to which all family and friends are warmly welcome.
Christmas Concert 1
A joyful celebration of music, energy, and holiday spirit, showcasing the festive talents of our young musicians! Enjoy performances from Taster Strings, Rhythm ’n’ Bows, Funky (Junior) Strings, Chamber Strings, Junior Recorders, and Guitar Talk (Beginner Guitars).
Annual Winter Festival
This is a spectacular, two-part annual showcase of talented members from South East Derbyshire Music Centre.
Performance 1 (2:00 PM) features Foundations and Progression groups, and Performance 2 (4:30 PM) features Band Lab, Saturday Singers, and Youth Orchestra/Bands.

Christmas Concert 2
A wonderful celebration of music and holiday spirit, featuring a festive line-up of talented young musicians. Enjoy performances from the Intermediate Band, Senior Band, Singing Sensations Choir, Early Days Recorders, Intermediate Recorders, and Young Music Makers.
Rotary Club Performance
The PDMC Junior Choir will be performing at a fundraising concert for Buxton Rotary Club, joining a fantastic line-up of musicians for an evening of great music in support of a wonderful cause.
Also performing are Katy Allan (opera singer and Hallé Junior Choir director), Colin and Jeanette Sykes with songs from the shows, Simon Mercer (organ tutor at the Royal Northern College of Music), and the brilliant R&B band Reliably Sourced.

Choir Performance
The PDMC Junior Choir, together with pupils from several local primary schools, will be joining forces with Buxton Musical Society to form a special children’s choir for an upcoming concert.
