Vacancy: Singing Support Team Leader

Due to retirement after two decades, Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership are seeking to appoint a Singing Team Leader, ideally from September 2022 but later if necessary

DDMP logoThe post includes teaching across our range of vocal programmes and leading a small team of self-employed whole class singing teachers.

This includes facilitating and leading large-scale singing performances, co-ordinating Singing Summer Schools across the City and County and progressing the Derbyshire Music Education Hub Singing Strategy.

We are particularly interested in further developing in areas such as Musical Theatre, Gospel, Folk and Secondary School provision. This portfolio of work occurs during the school day, with some activities happening outside curriculum time in evenings and occasionally at weekends. 

The successful candidate will have QTS and be salaried on a 0.6 contract with Derbyshire County Council.

  • Contract and salary details
    This is a permanent part time (0.6) position on MPS+TLR2 (MPS £15,428.40 - £22,176.60 per annum + TLR2 £1,723.80)
  • Working arrangements
    The nature of this position includes working from home as well as on location for teaching, leading sessions and concerts at venues and schools across Derbyshire and Derby City.

    Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
