The developing our musical programmes, activities and the provision of instrumental lessons providing working opportunities across Derby and Derbyshire all year round. The areas we are actively recruiting are listed below.
Music Support Practitioners
Derby & Derbyshire Partnership welcomes applications to become part of its Music Support Practitioner team, offering assistance to deliverers of our Classroom Music programmes.
This role is perfect for musical gap-year students or teachers returning to the profession after a break.

Instrumental and vocal teaching
Instrumental and vocal teaching is undertaken by teachers who have, through interview, been accredited by the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership.
Once accredited, teachers are given the opportunity to create their own timetable of teaching, dependent on demand. Teachers are supported by an Area Leader and a series of continuing professional development.
We accept applications for accreditation on any instrument all year round but we have a particular need for the following teachers:
- North East Derbyshire
Violin, Cello, Drum Kit and Guitar
- North West Derbyshire
Piano (in the High Peak) and Cello
- Derby City and Ashbourne area
Strings, Drum Kit, Guitar, Piano and Singing

Music Task Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone with a keen interest and understanding of music education to join the highly successful Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership team.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, very well-organised and competent individual to provide effective organisational support for our regular music activities and large-scale annual or one-off events.
This is a permanent role for 22 hours a week.
