Grants for Young Musicians

Supporting young musicians in Derbyshire continue music-making or music education

Young people, schools or other organisations are able to apply for grants to support music-making or music education.

There are currently two available funds available to apply to. Please note, both have different application criteria and schedules, so please read the details before making an application.

Grants for Chesterfield Young Musicians
Derbyshire County Council

Thanks to a bequest from a local resident, Derbyshire County Council is offering individual grants of up to £500 for those aged 5 to 18, and grants of up to £2,000 for schools and other organisations operating in Chesterfield.

The money can help to support any kind of music-maker wanting to progress their studies either by either buying equipment, paying for lessons or support to further develop a young person’s musical talent.
