How to be an effective subject lead for music

A free online meeting giving you a toolkit for leading the music curriculum in your school

DDMP logoThis meeting will help to ensure Music subject leads/music co-ordinators in Infant/ Junior and Primary School know how to give the best music opportunities to their pupils, can track their progress and know how to monitor the effectiveness of their subject action plan.

What will be included?

Topics covered will include developing a clear Intent, Implementation and Impact vision, designing a curriculum overview, assessment and progression, leading a staff meeting, resourcing your school, enriching your curriculum offer and creating a music subject leader folder.

Participants will be provided with a toolkit including

  • Templates for planning a curriculum overview
  • A subject knowledge audit that can be used with all staff
  • Recommended resources - both free and paid for
  • Good practice examples from Derbyshire Schools
  • Templates for subject action plans.
