Musical instrument maintenance worker

with the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership

The Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership welcomes applications from individuals wishing to join a pool of people who can be called upon to help maintain their stock of instruments. 

The Music Partnership provides instruments through accredited instrumental teachers across the city and county, all of which require regular checking, cleaning, servicing and maintenance, carried out at our store in Chesterfield.

Successful candidates will have relevant experience of maintaining orchestral and wind band musical instruments and have suitable knowledge to perform simple repairs, or to identify instruments which need specialist repair.

A good eye for detail and efficient communication skills are required to keep up-to-date records of instruments checked back into to the store and to determine which are suitable for sending out, or require repair.

Location: Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership Instrument Store, Chesterfield

Working times: Working times are subject to the demands of the Music Partnership, which will vary at different times of the year, both during term time and school holidays.

Further details: Successful applicants may also be asked to travel with our van driver to across the county to collect and deliver class sets of instruments to Derby & Derbyshire schools. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Rate of pay: Minimum wage
