General information


Summer singing morning – Sunday 14 June

  • Rehearsal morning times
    Check in will open at 9.15am, for a rehearsal 9.30am-1.00pm
  • Where
    At County Hall Matlock – Open in Google Maps
  • Picking up
    Parents should aim to come into County Hall for picking up at 12.50pm, where there will be a briefing about the Repton concert. Please also see below for parking instructions.
  • ⚠️ Parking – Changes for Sunday 14 June
    The main car park will be closed on Sunday 14 June for repair, but parents can use the terrace car park instead. Drive up Smedley Street and pass the main county hall building until you see a left turn. Go down this access road and follow it all the way around the building until you see car parking spaces. You may need to buzz for access if the barrier is down. – Open in Google Maps.

Summer concert day at Repton – 19 July

  • Rehearsal morning times
    Check in will open at 9.15am, for a rehearsal 9.30am-1.00pm
  • Where
    At County Hall Matlock – Open in Google Maps
  • Getting to Repton
    There will be a coach trasfer afte the rehearsal to Repton School for the concert for the children – parents do not need to provide transport, but will need to get themselves to Repton.

    4.30pm - 6.15pm, at Repton School, Repton – Open in Google Maps

Answers to common questions

  • Where do I park at County Hall?
    The main car park will be closed on Sunday 14 June for repair, but parents can use the terrace car park instead.   • Can I stay at County Hall during the morning and watch?
    Unfortunately no. We cannot host parents at County Hall during the singing morning, but we sometimes invite families to watch a sharing of what has been learned.
  • Are there any refreshments?
    We do not provide refreshments other than water. If your child needs anything, we suggest they bring it with them. Please do not bring any snacks that contain nuts.
  • Does my child need to prepare anything?
    No, the morning's activities are accessible on the day without any preparation
  • Can my child bring a friend?
    Certainly, but they will need to be registered with us first. They can sign up to a few days before the singing morning at derbyshiremusichub.org.uk/djc

  • How do I make an online payment?
    Please do this using Derbyshire County Council's payment service. This link is in your confirmation email, too. 
  • Can I pay on the door?
    Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash or card payments on the door.
  • I think something has gone wrong with my payment, what do I do?
